a viewpoint from a realist

well you guys need to hear this I personally i think you should all know where I stand on some things
,'Are we fighting a war on terror or aren't we? Was it or was it not started byIslamic people who brought it to our shores on September 11, 2001?Were people from all over the world, mostly Americans, not brutally murdered that day, in downtown Manhattan , across the Potomac from our nation's capitol and in a field in Pennsylvania? Did nearly three thousand men, women and children die a horrible, burning or crushing death that day, or didn't they? And I'm supposed to care that a copy of the Koran was 'desecrated' when an overworked American soldier kicked it or got it wet?...Well, I don' t. I don'tcare at all.I'll start caring when Osama bin Laden turns himself in and repents for incinerating all those innocent people on 9/11.I'll care about the Koran when the fanatics in the Middle East start caring about theHoly Bible, the mere possession of which is a crime in Saudi Arabia .I'll care when these thugs tell the world they are sorry for hacking off Nick Berg's head while Berg screamed through his gurgling slashed throat.I'll care when the cowardly so-called 'insurgents' in Iraq come out and fight likemen instead of disrespecting their own religion by hiding in mosques.I'll care when the mindless zealots who blow themselves up in search of nirvana careabout the innocent children within range of their suicide bombs.I'll care when the American media stops pretending that their First Amendment liberties are somehow derived from international law instead of the UnitedStates Constitution's Bill of Rights. In the meantime, when I hear a story about a brave marine roughing up an Iraqi terrorist to obtain information, know this: I don't care. When I see a fuzzy photo of a pile of Iraqi prisoners who have been humiliatedin what amounts to a college-hazing incident, rest assured: I don't care. When I see a wounded terrorist get shot when he is told not to move because he might be booby- trapped, you can take it to the bank: I don't care. When I hear that a prisoner, who was issued a Koran and a prayer mat , and fed 'special' food that is paid for by my tax dollars, is complaining that his holybook is being 'mishandled,' you can absolutely believe in your heart of hearts:I don't care. And oh, by the way, I've noticed that sometimes it's spelled 'Koran' and other times'Quran.' Well, Jimmy Crack Corn and-you guessed it-I don't care !!If you agree with this viewpoint, may I add:'Some people spend an entire lifetime wondering if they made a difference in theworld. But, the Marines don't have that problem' -- Ronald Reagan
I have another quote that I would like to share 'If we ever forget that we're One Nation Under God, then we will be a nation goneunder.' Also by.. Ronald Reagan One last thought for the day:In case we find ourselves starting to believe all the Anti-American sentiment and negativity, we should remember England 's Prime Minister Tony Blair's words during a recent interview. When asked by one of his Parliament members why he believes so much in America , he said: 'A simple way to take measure of a country is to look at how many want in.. And how many want out.'Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you:1. Jesus Christ2. The American G. I. Important for us all!!!! One died for your soul, the other for your freedom. ther I said it.

FINALLY

well my 16th birthday came and went. in the course of one day I got a 79 camaro, my name on the sign at the gas station, and got 16 wheels for the race car. (the 16 wheels was just ironic we didn't plan it that way) but I'm sorry i haven't been on in so long there's so much to say. conclave, the team got excellent, one of only two teams to do so. I met lots of people from TX,OK,and AR. then I have to tell you about LIFEGUARD CERTIFICATION COURSES, the simple fact I want to be a lafeguard explains alot about my personality, the respect, the responsability, the chlorine. well the classeswent off pretty easily, i got to save a "drowning" victim, and oh yeah I am going to turn in an application. anyway I better go so

kicking off

Hey all you folks in internet land. I'm kind of new on the blog scene so bear with me while i get used to it. Todays post will be short, sweet, and to the point; Mainly because i've not much to talk about really. But as i get used this they will get longer and more interesting (I hope).
About me I am a scout working on my eagle, a member of the Order of the Arrow (the national honor society of BSA) and I would like to get my racecar done so I can say I'm a driver.
Other than that I LOVE politics and government, as well as my sport (racing all but motocross)
and I do tend to ramble sometimes.

CONCLAVE, is the event of the year for OA I'm on the ceremony team and we have earned the honor of representing our lodge at conclave ceremonies competition (they call it evaluation but we all know what it really is) more than 6,000 arrowmen (members of the OA) will be there from arkansas, texas, and OKLAHOMA will be there. (on a side note I left the other two state not capatalised on purpose so don't point it out later). This is a special conclave because it's the last section 3. Texas is becoming it's own section (mainly because it has 10 lodges). Oklahoma and arkansas willl be the new section 8. So i look forward to this weekend. It will be an awsome time.
